Blood and Chocolate

I had pulled out a pair of my wisdom teeth and the anaesthesia had worn off.

The blood soaked gauze was finally removed, but I could still taste the raw bloodied gums.

It hurt so much.

At this time, in desperate need of a cure for the pain, I did the unthinkable.

I ground down a piece of chocolate filled with honeycomb into little bits, forced my jaw open as wide as it could (which hurt like crap) and put whatever bits that fit into my mouth.

It was one of the most unforgettable emotions I've felt.

Extreme pain and ecstasy. Sweetness and numbness. Chocolate and blood.

Opposite emotions surfacing at the same time.

I wonder if you've ever felt that before.

I'm feeling it again now.
