I've run out of yet another set of tear-a-strip wall posters.
For the past month or so I've been pasting this design all around Singapore.
I just want to make people smile.
The strips of paper below have lines from the song "Just the way you are".
I feel a little sad when I take the effort to do something like this and the next day the whole poster is gone. Maybe we're not ready as a society to accept something so creatively loving and thus get rid of it even before others can appreciate it.
But I was really encouraged by the response to the very last one I put up.
I pasted it at the walkway to Pasir Ris station just after they cleared all the old notices, so it was in a prominent location.
The next day...
All the strips were gone!!!
I was soooooo happy. And I was deeply encouraged that people actually appreciated and responded to my time and effort by playing along.
Maybe it was the Meridians who frequent the walkway.
Either way, I'm back in the business of making people smile!
